Day Trips/Horseback Rides

Spend a day in the mountains or an hour riding an experienced
mountain horse. WMA offers day trips on horseback to multiple
destinations or we can arrange horseback rides by the hour or half
day. Enjoy a relaxing time with the trip of your choosing hosted by
an experienced guide. See wildflowers, wildlife, scenic vistas while
taking advantage of ample photographic opportunities. Horse, tack
and lunch is provided. Horseback rides of less than a full day are
arranged through A/OK Corral .

Fishing

The Winds offer fishing for several species of native trout in both
alpine lakes and mountain streams. WMA offers fishing in
conjunction with day horseback rides and pack trips. Custom and
overnight trips can be arranged. Fishing equipment can be furnished
on request. Licenses are the responsibility of the guests.
Destinations for day trips and overnight trips are limited by riding
distance.

Pack Trips

Traveling and exploring the wilderness areas of the Wind River
Mountains is a unique and once in a lifetime experience. Come enjoy
a traditional western pack trip into the Bridger or Popo Agie
Wilderness. Relax under the stars while your cook prepares
outstanding meals. Spend your days, hiking, fishing, riding, exploring
or just sitting in camp with a good book. Let our wranglers, guides
and cooks introduce you to a vacation to remember and let our
horses carry you through scenic valleys and breathtaking mountains
while we take care of the details.

Regardless of your background and experience, you will enjoy our
experienced horses, the camaraderie of new acquaintances and the
expertise of our personnel. Whatever your interest, WMA will
arrange a memorable vacation. Discover the uniqueness of the
wilderness and join us around the campfire at the end of each day to
relax and unwind.   Photo opportunities abound for wildflowers,
wildlife and scenery. All gear except sleeping bags and personal
items is provided. Fishing equipment is furnished on request. Guests
are responsible for obtaining all fishing licenses.

Gear Drops/Spot Packs

Let WMA be your outfitter. We can pack your gear while you
enjoy a leisurely hike to a destination of your choosing. Enjoy the
wilderness without the hassles of packing or the worry of carrying
heavy packs.   Our guides and wranglers can take care of you and/or
your gear into the wilderness while you focus on the mountains and
relaxing.   WMA offers both gear drops and spot packs. For a spot
pack, WMA packs your gear and provides riding horses for the
guests. You are taken to the location of your choosing and dropped
off. It is your choice for you and your gear to be picked up on the
return leg. For gear drops, WMA packs only your gear to the
location of your choosing. Gear may or may not be picked up for the
return. Guides, horse and all packing equipment provided. Some
restrictions exist on selected locations. Contact us to discuss
